Striker Boy News

news and events from the Striker Boy Campaign

Striker Boy and Stoke City Football Club

We reached out to all 92 league football clubs asking for their support, and the response has been fantastic.

We’ve had lots of firsts. Yeovil were the first club to publicly promote the campaign, Arsenal were the first Premier League winners to support the campaign, Coventry were the first FA Cup winners to give us their backing, and now Stoke City have given us another amazing first. They are the first club to invite us to the ground to promote the campaign on a match day.

This Saturday for Stoke vs Leicester we’ll be in the family stand from 10.30am promoting Striker Boy and mental health awareness. If you are going to the game then make sure you come and say hello! If you won’t be at the game, you can pick up your copy of Striker Boy here – you’ll be helping to ensure that ever person experiencing a mental health problem receives the respect and support they deserve.

Jonny Gould spoke to BBC Radio Stoke about Striker Boy and the fantastic support we’ve received from the club.

We would like to save an absolutely massive thank you to Stoke City Football club for their incredible support and generosity.

We will be back in Stoke on Nov 13 doing a very special radio appearance. We’ll be appearing on Seabridge Radio, the Seabridge Primary School radio station!
